Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Indiana is seeking a driven commercial driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers and customers, support sales efforts, and ensure on-time transportation.

You will operate tractor-trailers (including doubles/triples where applicable), perform safety inspections, secure loads, communicate with dispatch, and help generate new business leads while maintaining DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Class A Commercial Driver's License with hazmat endorsement and doubles/triples endorsement.
• At least 1 year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development program.
• Ability to comply with DOT regulations and maintain clean motor vehicle record.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to perform basic math, lift up to 100 pounds, and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers, including doubles and triples.

Position Overview

This role involves picking up and delivering freight between Service Centers and customers, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring timely transportation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers, including doubles, triples, and straight trucks.
• Perform daily safety and pre-trip inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers, secure freight using straps and pallets, and handle freight with motorized/manual tools.
• Verify documentation, comply with hazardous materials regulations, and collect freight charges as needed.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding deliveries, delays, and needs.
• Demonstrate customer service, solicit additional business, and provide leads for sales opportunities.
• Perform tire chaining and other operational duties as required, possibly including road or dock work.

Qualifications & Skills

• Class A CDL with endorsements for doubles/triples, hazardous materials, and tankers.
• At least one year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Ability to perform basic math, lift up to 100 pounds, and work independently or in a team.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to follow instructions and training.

Working Conditions
