Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Baltimore seeks an experienced Truck Driver with a Class A CDL and hazmat/tank endorsements to operate tractor-trailer units and support service centers and customers. You’ll perform safety inspections, manage freight, and communicate with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries.

The role requires able-bodied lifting (up to 100 lbs), basic math, and strong teamwork or independence. Candidates must follow regulations and provide excellent customer service across operations.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat, and tank endorsements.
• Have at least 1 year of recent driving experience or completed driver development program.
• Maintain a valid MVR and DOT compliance.
• Able to perform basic math, lift up to 100 pounds, and work independently or in a team.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples where applicable.
• Perform daily safety and pre-trip inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and handle freight using motorized and manual equipment.
• Secure freight inside trailers with straps and pallets.
• Verify documentation, comply with hazardous materials regulations, and manage freight charges.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding deliveries, pickups, delays, and operational issues.
• Provide internal and external customer service, solicit additional business, and contribute leads for new opportunities.
• May perform tire chaining, road driving, or dock duties as needed.
• Adhere to all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
