Qualifications

• Strong communication and adaptability to various work conditions.

Position Overview:

This role involves picking up and delivering freight between service centers and customers, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring timely, safe transportation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers, including doubles and triples where applicable, performing pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers, handle freight with motorized/manual equipment, and secure cargo using straps, pallets, and ropes.
• Verify documentation, comply with hazardous material regulations, and manage freight charges and reports.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery needs, delays, and operational issues.
• Demonstrate customer service, solicit additional business, and provide leads for sales opportunities.
• Perform chaining of tires and other duties as needed, including roles of a road driver or dock employee.
• Follow all safety, legal, and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Class A CDL with endorsements for doubles/triples, hazardous materials, and tanks (automatic transmission allowed).
• At least one year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Ability to perform basic math, lift up to 100 pounds, and work independently or in a team.
• Strong communication skills and adaptability to various work conditions.
