Job summary

AGC Glass Company North America is seeking a Quality Engineer to design, deploy, and sustain quality systems across production lines in Bellefontaine, Ohio. You will lead audits, inspect products and processes, and drive corrective actions in collaboration with engineering and supply chain teams.

The role requires a strong foundation in Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, and APQP, with experience in automotive standards and quality tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Operations Management, Engineering Management, Quality Management, or closely related field.
• Master's in quality management or similar preferred.
• 3–5 years in quality engineering or closely aligned function in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of automotive standards: IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VOA, APQP.
• Experience with process-improvement toolkits: Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, RCA.
• Proven experience conducting audits, inspections, and testing to verify compliance.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint; ERP/SAP or similar quality tools.
• Familiarity with CAD and engineering drawings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and sustain quality control systems and standard work to prevent defects and elevate capability.
• Plan and conduct audits, inspections, and product/process testing for compliance.
• Identify opportunities to reduce scrap, rework, and variation while improving yield.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain to resolve root causes.
• Create and maintain quality documentation, including process maps, inspection plans, reports, and CAPAs.
