Job summary

NSG Group in Shelbyville, Indiana, is seeking a hands-on Quality Leader to drive manufacturing quality and safety across all shifts in a 24/7 automotive glass operation. The role requires strong APQP knowledge, audits, and relentless pursuit of quality improvements.

You will lead internal auditors, coordinate TS/ISO and customer audits, and mentor hourly Auditor teams while traveling to customer sites as needed. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years related manufacturing/quality experience.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interact at all levels.
• Excellent communication and human relation skills.
• High energy, self-starting with ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Ability to travel.
• Experience with APQP (CP, FMEA, process documentation with revision control).

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in applying the 10 Key Safety Leadership Behaviors to produce quality parts safely.
• Provide a safe, healthy working environment and implement improvements to prevent injuries.
• Drive preventive actions and coordinate resolution.
• Translate customer requirements into production specs, control plans, and FMEAs.
• Direct and develop hourly Auditor teams and ensure internal audits are communicated.
• Lead/Support certification audits including TS/ISO, GM BIQS and Ford Q1.
• Conduct weekly quality improvement meetings and drive PDCA with other groups.
• Travel to customer locations to resolve quality concerns and act as customer liaison.
