Job summary

Patterson-UTI Drilling Company, LLC is seeking a Drilling Optimization Engineer to drive analytics and optimization for on-shore drilling rigs. You will analyze drilling data, develop reports and visuals, and support operations teams while collaborating with Technology and Marketing groups.

Field time and customer interaction are integral to the role, requiring strong communication and hands-on problem solving.

Responsibilities

Interfaces with stakeholders to drive performance initiatives for assigned customers.
Track, analyze, and manage KPIs to identify improvements.
Evaluate drilling performance and recommend changes to practices/parameters.
Identify inefficiencies at rig sites and propose improvements with action plans.
Develop roadmaps and heatmaps for operational phases.
Lead performance-improvement plans and drive corrective actions.
