Job summary

Shared Services Group Inc. in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a hands-on Drilling Assistant to join our geotechnical operations.

The role supports the drill crew with setup, operation, and breakdown of drilling equipment and helps collect soil and rock data for engineering projects. You will label samples, maintain safety PPE, and travel to project sites as needed under the direction of the driller and Project Manager.

Salary Range: $20.00 To $25.00 Annually

Job Summary:

Assists the drill crew in performing Standard Penetration Test (SPT) and geotechnical drilling operations. Supports the driller by setting up equipment, handling drilling tools and samples, maintaining a safe work environment, and helping collect soil and rock data for engineering and construction projects.
