Job summary

Gessner Engineering, LLC. in Brenham, TX is seeking a Geotechnical Driller Assistant to help set up and operate drilling rigs for geotechnical exploration.

You will perform daily equipment inspections, load supplies, and follow safety policies while assisting with logging samples and basic maintenance under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors.
• Willing to travel 1 day to 1 week.
• CDL Class A preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load necessary supplies and equipment required for the project.
• Follow all company safety policies.
• Train and eventually perform Logging and packaging samples.
• Assists with simple repairs and maintenance of drilling equipment under supervision.
• Assist with daily drilling operations, assist with adding augers when instructed and providing driller with the proper sampling tool for the soil conditions.
• Communicate job site conditions with engineering staff as needed.
• Manage time effectively and efficiently.

Salary Range: $18.00 To $20.00 Hourly

Geotechnical Driller Assistants with Gessner Engineering assist with the set up and operation of drilling rigs and related equipment to drill holes for geotechnical exploration test boring.

Responsibilities
