Drill Rig Operator (Foundation Drilling) (Travel Required)

Position Summary:

This role involves operating drill rigs such as Oruga/Beck I, CZM, IMT, or similar models.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follow safety regulations and procedures.
  • Identify and avoid hazards like utility lines, other equipment, and falling objects.
  • Locate underground utilities prior to work.
  • Monitor safety and health standards during operations.
  • Coordinate machine actions with crew signals and move loads accordingly.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Supervise oiling and routine checks of the drill rig.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies by yourself and team members.
  • Maintain continuous communication with crew during operations.
  • Participate in safety meetings and initiatives.
  • Operate the drill to hoist materials safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Adherence to safety regulations and instructions.
  • Accurate judgment of distances and slopes.
  • Decision-making based on standards.
  • Physical ability to stoop, bend, crouch, and use limbs fully.
  • Good vision and hearing (corrected or natural).
  • Ability to work in dusty or dirty environments.
  • Pass qualification testing/observation for equipment operation.
  • CDL preferred but not required.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant, verifiable experience.
