Requirements

• Education Requirement: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
• Experience Requirement: 1-2 Years previous experience with Boring Drill and related equipment. Knowledge to read and interpret engineered drawings
• Skills and Abilities: Perform duties satisfactorily
• Language Requirement: Read, speak, and understand English
• Licenses or Certifications: Class A CDL License; clean driving record
• Physical Requirement: Sitting, standing, hand dexterity, speaking, vision and hearing

Duties / Tasks

• Punch in on time and be available for work at the beginning of each workday
• Assist in safe setup and breakdown of work zone
• Operate directional boring machine and drill for underground utility placement
• Drill and pull back conduit, cable, and fiber
• Load, unload, and identify job materials, machinery, and tools, according to project plans and specifications
• Operate backhoe as needed
• Drive trucks/vehicles while towing loaded trailers. Requires Class A CDL License
• Digs ditches / trenches, backfills excavations, and grades earth to specifications
• Assist in installation of pipes and risers
• Assist in locating utilities and set pedestals
• Maintain neat grooming and wear company uniform
• Notify supervisor of unsafe equipment or working conditions
• Attend safety meetings as required
• Read and check prints
• Receive annual performance evaluation of satisfactory or better
• Follow company, customer, and OSHA safety rules and regulations
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
• Hold required licensing including Class A CDL License
• Understand project deadlines and work outdoors in weather conditions
