Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a Full Time Asset Management Technician in Glendale, CA to install, relocate and maintain computer workstations and accessories. You will manage asset records, assist with inventory, and provide professional support to staff across the organization.

The role requires hands-on hardware knowledge (SSD, CPU, GPU, KVM) and cross-OS experience (Windows, Mac, Linux). Some nights/weekends may be required; on-site work is mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Proficient with electronics and computer knowledge; Windows, Mac, Linux/Unix OS experience.
  • Basic/intermediate hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware (SSD, CPU, GPU, KVM).
  • Detail oriented with the desire to learn and grow technically.
  • Works well in a team or independently.
  • Excellent organizational and task completion skills.
  • Flexible schedule to support nights and weekends occasionally.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up, installation and relocation of workstations, desktops, laptops and other hardware.
  • Performs software installation deskside and using remote tools.
  • Assists with organization and cabling of technology equipment and computer setups.
  • Provide excellent communication and customer service to staff at all levels.
  • Conducts daily physical inventory of assets and updates the Asset tracking Database.
  • Demonstrate commitment to resolving issues efficiently with a positive attitude.
  • Ensures assets are tracked with timely ticket updates of ongoing work.

Job Description

“What would you say you do here?”

  • Setting up, installation and relocation of computer workstations, desktops, laptops and other technology hardware.

“What can I offer?”

  • Upgrading computer hardware and software. (SCCM and Jamf experience preferred)
  • Tracking and documenting work in a ticketing system.
  • Working knowledge with Google and MS Office Suite
  • Cable management and inventory control experience
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience with hardware inventory and auditing

Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full‑time from a DreamWorks‑designated worksite.

Salary range: $62,000 - $70,000
