Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Iowa Teaching License.
• Evidence of exemplary classroom teaching through evaluations, portfolio, NBCT status or other recognition.

• Knowledge of differentiated instruction for gifted, ESL, and special needs students.

Responsibilities

• Establish trustful, confidential relationships with students to develop self-efficacy as future instructional leaders.
• Weekly check-ins with students on academic performance, assignments, behavior, and problems.
• Chaperone field trips (e.g., college visits) and collaborations with community partners.
• Assist Dream to Teach students in reflecting on practice and reviewing work to inform instruction.
