Job summary

PSA BDP, a member of the PSA Group, is seeking a Director of Drayage in Allentown to lead the drayage strategy and execution. You will supervise a small leadership team, align procurement and operations, and ensure profitable growth with strong customer service.

You will analyze margins and costs, oversee pricing structures, and partner with finance, BD, and account teams to support bids and transitions. On-site role based in Allentown, PA.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in drayage or transportation management with leadership of teams.
• Experience in drayage carrier procurement, negotiations, and network development.
• Knowledge of port and rail operations, chassis costs, and drayage risks.
• Ability to analyze margins, costs, and capacity data to drive decisions.
• Proficiency with transportation management systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the drayage strategy aligning procurement, ops, staffing and coverage.
• Lead three department heads; set priorities, performance expectations and staffing plans.
• Direct drayage sourcing, rate agreements and capacity commitments with compliance teams.
• Establish pricing methodology and oversee rates, fuel, detention and other charges.
• Oversee execution, dispatch, tracking, billing readiness, and escalation resolution.
• Collaborate with customer teams on service commitments and transitions.
