Job summary

Flexport is seeking a Drayage Procurement Manager to own East Coast procurement, pricing, and allocation. You will build a high-quality drayage carrier network, negotiate rates, and serve as the market expert for your region.

You’ll collaborate with Sales and Demand teams to align strategies and drive profit growth. Ideal candidates have 5–7+ years in trucking or freight, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and deep knowledge of North American drayage.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5–7+ years in trucking, freight forwarding, or related supply chain roles, focusing on Ocean or Drayage.

Responsibilities

• Source, vet, and onboard a high-quality drayage carrier network for East Coast markets.
• Act as the Drayage Market expert with regular market updates and enablement sessions.
• Manage carrier pricing and lead all RFPs (annual and off-cycle).
• Collaborate with Sales and Demand teams on client solutions and growth initiatives.
• Proactively maintain carrier tariffs and rate structures to reduce costs.
• Support P&L, invoicing, audits, and dispute resolution.
• Coordinate with Carrier Management on service performance and technology adoption.
• Own and manage the allocation strategy across markets.
