Flexport is seeking a Drayage Procurement Manager to own procurement, pricing, and allocation strategy across the East Coast. Build and maintain a competitive carrier network, negotiate rates and contracts, and serve as the market expert for your region.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on strategy, drive profitability, and accelerate growth. You will source, vet, and onboard carriers, provide market updates, manage pricing, and partner with Sales and Demand teams to expand

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a related field and 5–7+ years in trucking, freight forwarding, or supply chain.
• Experience in carrier or partner-facing procurement and management functions.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decisions.
• Deep knowledge of North American drayage market and trends.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Source, vet, and onboard a high-quality drayage carrier network for East Coast markets with contracts and insurance in order.
• Act as Drayage Market expert, providing market updates and insights.
• Manage carrier pricing by executing buy-side strategies and RFPs.
• Partner with Sales and Demand teams on client solutions and growth initiatives.
• Proactively farm carrier network to reduce cost and maintain tariffs.
• Drive P&L through data inputs, finance support, and dispute resolution.
