Job summary

Allen Lund Company is seeking a Drayage Logistics Specialist to join our team. You will source trucks for drayage and dispatch Full Container pickups from rail yards and ports, ensuring timely deliveries and accurate documentation.

The role requires 1-2 years of freight forwarding or drayage dispatching experience, excellent organization, and strong communication skills. We offer growth opportunities across 41 offices and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in Freight Forwarding or drayage dispatching.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and time-management skills.
• Experience in freight forwarding or Drayage Import organization is a plus.
• Knowledge of policies, procedures, systems and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage drayage truckers and locate new ones as needed.
• Receive and update shipment status; issue shipment alerts; track and trace (port status, delivery).
• Collect and maintain load documents (POD, EIR, DO, etc.).
• Assist with management of shipments to ensure timely cargo delivery and source best transport methods; build relationships with customers, offices, overseas agents and service providers.
• Operate independently or as part of a team.
