Job summary

Roth Home, part of TurnPoint Services, is seeking a Drains Technician to diagnose, clean, and repair residential and commercial drain systems in the Portland area. You will work with advanced drain-cleaning tools and technology to clear blockages and inspect lines.

This role emphasizes excellent customer service, safe work practices, and clear communication of findings and options to customers. You’ll join a team with strong growth opportunities and access to modern equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of drain cleaning, service, or related plumbing experience.
• Licensing: Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; plumbing apprentice license a plus.
• Technical: Knowledge of drain cleaning equipment (cable, sectional, jetter, camera).
• Customer: Excellent communication and ability to explain findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Repair: Locate, diagnose, and clear drain blockages using cable machines, jetters, or cameras.
• Video Inspection: Operate sewer cameras to identify line issues such as root intrusion or breaks.
• Repair Recommendations: Provide professional assessments and explain repair options.
