Job summary

Roth Home, a TurnPoint Services brand in Oregon, is seeking a Drains Technician to diagnose, clean, and repair residential and commercial drain systems. You will work with advanced drain-cleaning tools and provide safe, high-quality service.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of drain cleaning or related plumbing experience, a valid driver's license, and strong communication skills. Evening/weekend/on-call availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of drain cleaning, service, or related plumbing experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record required; plumbing apprentice license a plus.
• Knowledge of drain cleaning equipment including cable, sectional, jetter, and camera systems.
• Basic plumbing knowledge.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain findings and solutions clearly.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physical labor in various environments.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Locate, diagnose, and clear drain and sewer blockages using cable machines, jetters, or camera systems.
• Operate sewer cameras and locators to identify line issues such as root intrusion or breaks.
• Provide professional assessments and explain repair options (spot repairs, trenchless, excavation, or replacements).
• Perform scheduled cleanings and maintenance for recurring problem drains.
• Communicate clearly with customers about findings, solutions, and pricing.
• Complete service tickets with photos, videos, and notes in field software.
• Follow OSHA and company safety protocols and PPE standards.
• Coordinate with supervisors, dispatch, and plumbers for complex repairs.
• Maintain and clean drain machines, jetters, cameras, and company vehicle daily.
