City of Port Arthur Texas seeks a Technician II – Drainage to perform semi-skilled labor in construction, maintenance, and related service activities across Streets, Drainage, and Water/Wastewater divisions. Duties include operating diverse maintenance equipment, ensuring site safety, and supporting assigned crews.

Qualifications require 1 year of field maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a Texas Class A or B CDL.

Formación

• One (1) year of increasingly responsible field maintenance experience.
• Must have completed the twelfth grade and possess a high school diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Operate maintenance equipment (jackhammers, trucks, mowers, etc.) and repair city facilities.
• Provide staff support and assist assigned crew.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, read gauges, and ensure safety of worksites.
• Read and interpret maps of underground sewer and drainage systems.
• Perform patching, resurfacing, and basic carpentry as needed.
• Assist in repairing water, sewer, and storm drain lines.
