Job summary

Galloway & Company, Inc. is seeking a Drainage Engineer to support a technical lead in planning, analysis and design of drainage and stormwater systems for diverse land development projects.

You will apply advanced hydrologic and hydraulic principles to deliver technically sound, practical solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Required are a Civil Engineering degree, PE eligibility within six months, and experience with drainage design and related analysis tools; strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• PE license or eligibility to take PE exam within six months of hire.
• Experience with drainage design and hydraulic/hydrologic analyses.
• Ability to produce engineering calculations and plan production.
• Strong technical writing and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using CUHP, SWMM, HY-8, FlowMaster, StormCAD and related tools.
• Design stormwater conveyance systems, detention facilities, culverts, open channels, and water quality/LID facilities.
• Prepare drainage reports, stormwater management plans, and technical memoranda/specifications.
• Produce and review drainage plan sheets, profiles, details and exhibits communicating design intent.
• Coordinate drainage design with roadway, structural, utilities and environmental disciplines.
• Support QA/QC procedures to ensure constructible designs and respond to RFIs.
