Job summary

TurnPoint Services seeks a Drain Technician to diagnose, clean, and repair drain systems for residential and commercial clients, using cable machines, jetters, and cameras. You’ll report findings clearly and recommend effective solutions while delivering safe, high-quality service.

This role requires at least 5 years of drain experience, a valid driver's license, the ability to lift 50+ lbs, and willingness to work evenings or on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of drain cleaning, service, or related plumbing experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; plumbing apprentice license a plus.
• Knowledge of drain cleaning equipment (cable, sectional, jetter, camera systems); basic plumbing knowledge.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain findings clearly.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physical labor.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, or be on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Repair: Locate, diagnose, and clear drain blockages using cable machines, jetters, or camera systems.
• Video Inspection: Operate sewer cameras and locators to identify line issues.
• Repair Recommendations: Explain options (spot repair, trenchless, excavation, or replacement).
• Preventive Maintenance: Schedule and perform drain cleanings to prevent recurring problems.
• Customer Service: Communicate findings and pricing; ensure customer satisfaction.
• Documentation: Complete service tickets with photos/videos and notes in field software.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow OSHA and safety protocols; PPE handling.
• Teamwork: Coordinate with supervisors, dispatch, and plumbers for complex repairs.
• Equipment Care: Maintain drain machines, jetters, cameras, and company vehicle daily.
