Job summary

Blake Brothers in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Drains Technician to diagnose, clean, and repair residential and commercial drain systems. You will use cable machines, jetters, and cameras, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service.

The role requires at least 2 years of drain cleaning or plumbing experience, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts. Training and opportunities for growth are provided through TurnPoint Services.people

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years drain cleaning or related plumbing experience.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Plumbing apprentice license is a plus.

Responsibilities

Diagnostics and repair: Locate, diagnose, and clear drain and sewer blockages using cable machines, jetters, or camera systems.
Video inspection: Operate sewer cameras and locators to identify line issues such as root intrusion or grade problems.
Repair recommendations: Explain repair options (spot repairs, trenchless, excavation, or replacements).
Preventive maintenance: Perform scheduled cleanings and maintenance for recurring problem drains.
Customer service: Communicate findings, solutions, and pricing clearly to customers.
Documentation: Complete service tickets with photos, videos, and notes in the field software.
Safety and compliance: Follow OSHA and company safety protocols and proper chemical handling.
Teamwork: Coordinate with supervisors, dispatch, and plumbers for complex repairs.
Equipment care: Maintain drain machines, jetters, cameras, and company vehicle daily.
