Job summary

Air Tech of Houston is seeking a self-motivated Drain Technician to join our growing plumbing team in Houston, TX. You will be paid on a commission basis with uncapped pay potential and strong benefits.

The role involves identifying drain issues, using specialized tools for cleaning and repair, and educating customers on best practices while maintaining accurate service records. In-person, full-time position with promotions and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years plumbing and drain experience preferred.
• Residential and small commercial drain experience.
• Familiarity with drain cleaning equipment and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections to diagnose drain-related issues in residential and small commercial systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot blockages, leaks, and pipe damage.
• Use specialized tools to clean, unclog, and repair drains.
• Install, repair, and maintain drain pipes, fittings and fixtures.
• Explain plumbing concerns and solutions to customers clearly.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain detailed service records with before/after photos.
• Adhere to safety protocols and participate in safety trainings.

What you will do:

• Conduct thorough inspections to diagnose residential and small commercial plumbing systems to identify drain-related issues.


• Diagnose and troubleshoot drain problems, including blockages, leaks, and pipe damage.


• Utilize specialized tools and equipment to perform drain cleaning, unclogging, and repair.


• Install, repair, and maintain drain pipes, fitting, and fixtures


• Interact professionally and honestly with customers to help them understand pluming concerns and solutions.


• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.


• Maintain detailed records of services, including documenting pictures of before and after services have been completed.


• Educate customers on best practices for their drain systems.


• Adhere to company safety protocols and procedures.


• Attend appropriate safety training as required by the company.

Who you are:

• 1-5 Years Plumbing and Drain experience preferred


• Plumbing degree, license, or apprenticeship


• Current plumbing certification as required by state


• Familiarity with diagnosis and repair of residential plumbing issues


• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures


• Good communication and interpersonal skills
