Qualifications

What You'll Do

• Diagnose residential drain and sewer problems accurately and efficiently
• Clear stoppages and restore proper flow using professional drain-cleaning equipment
• Operate electric cable machines, hydro-jetting equipment, sewer cameras, locating equipment, and other diagnostic tools
• Perform camera inspections and clearly explain findings and available solutions to customers
• Identify opportunities for repairs, replacements, preventative maintenance, and additional services based on the customer’s actual needs
• Prepare accurate estimates and review pricing, scope of work, and service terms with customers
• Complete service documentation, job summaries, photographs, estimates, and required paperwork accurately and on time
• Follow up with customers in accordance with company procedures
• Maintain drain machines, tools, and equipment in safe working condition
• Keep the assigned service vehicle clean, organized, properly stocked, and ready for work
• Follow all safety requirements, operating procedures, and safe-driving practices
• Participate in team meetings, training, and professional-development opportunities
• Represent Fischer Services with professionalism, honesty, and respect in every customer interaction

What We're Looking For

• At least two years of drain-cleaning, sewer-service, plumbing-service, or closely related field experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve drain and sewer problems
• Experience operating drain-cleaning equipment, sewer cameras, and hydro-jetting equipment strongly preferred
• Strong customer-service and communication skills
• Ability to explain technical findings and service recommendations in a clear, honest, and professional manner
• Confidence preparing estimates and presenting service options without using high-pressure sales tactics
• Strong problem-solving, time-management, and follow-through skills
• Ability to work independently while remaining accountable to the team
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable under company standards
• Washington plumbing trainee certificate or journey-level certification is helpful but not required for work that does not legally require the credential
• Ability to satisfy applicable pre-employment requirements

Physical Requirements

This is an active field position. The employee must be able to:

• Regularly stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, and work in confined or difficult-to-access areas
• Safely lift and move tools, equipment, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally move heavier equipment weighing up to 100 pounds with appropriate assistance or equipmentWork indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures, weather conditions, and jobsite environments
• Safely enter, exit, and operate a company service vehicle throughout the workday
