Job summary

SpaceX in the United States is seeking a Test Engineer (Dragon) to join the Dragon Spacecraft Integration Mechanisms, Avionics/Automation, Interior and Trunk sub-team. You will develop and execute post‑flight testing, refurbish hardware, and serve as vehicle controller during system tests, working with design engineers to improve processing and ground ops.

Responsibilities include creating test procedures, evaluating flight requirements, managing GSE, and developing Python/C++ tools for test

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in physics, electrical, software, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • 1+ years of hardware development, vehicle integration or refurbishment, manufacturing, pressurized systems, or operations.
  • Experience with Python and C++ for test automation or data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procedures for integrated testing of Dragon hardware during post-flight processing.
  • Develop test solutions for in-house hardware to fly to space.
  • Act as Dragon vehicle controller during integrated system tests.
  • Evaluate requirements and plan capsule refurbishment campaigns.
