Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Test Engineer (Dragon) to join the Dragon Spacecraft Integration Mechanisms, Avionics/Automation, Interior, and Trunk sub-team. You will develop and execute post-flight testing and refurbishment for Crew and Cargo Dragon, owning tasks end-to-end.

The role requires collaboration with design engineers to improve capsule design and ground processing, establishing aircraft-like operations for Dragon. A strong engineering background and hands-on testing experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physics, electrical engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering, or another engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience with hardware development, vehicle integration or refurbishment, manufacturing, pressurized systems, or operations (internship and project experience applies).
• Experience with test equipment and measurement techniques to verify and validate product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procedures for integrated testing of Crew and Cargo Dragon hardware during post-flight processing and pre-flight processing.
• Develop test solutions for in-house hardware products that will fly to space.
• Act as a Dragon vehicle controller and test conductor during Dragon integrated system tests.
• Collaborate with design engineers to resolve technical problems and improve testing tools and processes.
