Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Launch Engineer for the Dragon Integration team. You will apply technical expertise to develop solutions for Dragon spacecraft readiness, testing, and vehicle reusability. You will work on maintenance, testing, and readiness of Dragon hardware to safely transport crew and cargo to LEO.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in structures, fluids, or test backgrounds and can coordinate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced spaceflight environment.

Qualifications

  • Earned degree in a relevant engineering field (mechanical, aerospace, electrical).
  • Experience with hardware development, vehicle integration, or related operations.
  • Internships or project work accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and improve procedures for Dragon flight hardware integration and testing.
  • Lead daily launch-site activities and vehicle processing readiness.
  • Define work scope for capsule maintenance and processing campaigns.
  • Manage work orders and drive corrective actions with integrated planning documents.
  • Investigate failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Design hardware and software tools to optimize processing and testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and technicians.
  • Communicate vehicle status clearly during readiness reviews and updates.
