Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Launch Engineer for the Dragon Integration team. You will apply technical expertise to develop solutions for human spaceflight operations and vehicle reusability, ensuring readiness of Dragon spacecraft for crew and cargo transport to LEO.

The role requires experience in structures, fluids, or test backgrounds, with responsibilities spanning integration procedures, mission execution, and root-cause analysis to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of hardware development, vehicle integration or related operations.
• Willingness to obtain a Space Force background check for Cape Canaveral work.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and improve procedures for integration, testing, and operation of Dragon flight hardware and GSE.
• Lead day-to-day mission-specific launch site and vehicle processing activities for flight readiness.
• Evaluate vehicle requirements and define work scope for capsule maintenance and processing campaigns.
• Manage work orders, drive non-conformances to resolution, and update planning documents across configurations.
• Investigate failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Design hardware/software tools to optimize vehicle processing and testing operations.
• Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams and technicians; communicate status during reviews.
