Job summary

Rinker is seeking a Drafter to support planning and construction of our projects. You will draft routine to moderately complex drawings, gather specifications, and prepare profiles used in production, with CAD tools and method setups.

You’ll apply math for calculations, review plans for cost and engineering considerations, and assist with final drawings. A BSc in Engineering or related field is preferred, with ADDA certification a plus; strong teamwork a must.

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
  • Good math skills
  • BSc in Engineering, Architecture or degree from a technical college
  • Additional certification from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) is a plus

  • Drafts and creates routine to moderately complex detailed drawings, sketches, and profiles used in the planning or construction of various physical projects or products.
  • Follows directions to conceive of or create form and design variations for consideration.
  • Uses extensive knowledge of computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.
  • Examines and analyzes plans for potential cost and engineering consideration. Draws preliminary sketches of proposed product or project.
  • Assists with the drafting of final drawings.
  • Uses mathematical formulas for calculations frequently.
  • May utilize CAD/CAM/CAE or other mini or PC technology. May require drafting certification.
