Job summary

Rinker Materials Career Center is seeking a CAD‑driven Drafter to produce detailed drawings and profiles for construction projects. You will interpret plans, create design variations, and support cost and engineering assessments using CAD/CAM/CAE tools.

The role emphasizes math-driven drafting, adherence to deadlines, and collaboration with engineering teams to deliver accurate, production-ready drawings. A technical degree and ADDA certification are desirable.

Qualifications

Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role.
Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
Good math skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Drafting certification may be required

Responsibilities

Drafts and creates routine to moderately complex detailed drawings, sketches, and profiles used in planning or construction of various projects.
Follows directions to conceive of or create form and design variations for consideration.
Uses extensive knowledge of CAD equipment and software.
Examines and analyzes plans for potential cost and engineering considerations; draws preliminary sketches.
Assists with the drafting of final drawings.
Uses mathematical formulas for calculations frequently.
