Job summary

Rinker seeks a Drafter to design and draft routine to moderately complex drawings for construction projects. You will use CAD tools to create and refine plans, analyze dimensions and costs, and collaborate with engineers and project teams.

Knowledge of 3D modeling and strong mathematical skills are essential for accurate, timely production. The role offers opportunities to contribute to infrastructure projects, with a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Drafter or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with CAD software.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling tools.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

• Drafts and creates routine to moderately complex detailed drawings, sketches, and profiles used in the planning or construction of various physical projects or products.
• Follows directions to conceive of or create form and design variations for consideration.
• Uses extensive knowledge of computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.
• Examines and analyzes plans for potential cost and engineering consideration. Draws preliminary sketches of proposed product or project.
• Assists with the drafting of final drawings.
• Uses mathematical formulas for calculations frequently.
• May utilize CAD/CAM/CAE or other mini or PC technology. May require drafting certification.

Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role
• Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
• Good math skills
• Ability to meet deadlinesBSc in Engineering, Architecture or degree from a technical college
• Additional certification from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) is a plus
