Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Printed Wiring Board (PWB) layout engineer to advance HDI, high‑speed boards. You will perform placement and layout from concept through fabrication artwork generation, focusing on digital and RF mixed designs.

You will collaborate daily with Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing and EMI engineers, communicate status clearly, and ensure on‑time delivery of detailed layouts and fabrication data across critical programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in layout from placement through fabrication artwork generation.
• HDI high-speed PWBs with RF/mixed designs.
• Ability to communicate status and meet critical program schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform PWB placement and layout for HDI boards.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing and EMI engineers.

Job description

This position is for an experienced Printed Wiring Board (PWB) layout engineer/drafter.

The successful candidate will complete placement and layout of High-Density Interconnect (HDI) high speed printed wiring boards (PWBs) utilizing tools such as Zuken CR-8000, Siemens Xpedition EDM. Boards will consist of digital and RF mixed designs.

Position requires the direct interaction and collaboration with Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing and EMI engineers.

Candidate will be responsible for layout from placement through fabrication artwork generation.

Must be detailed oriented with the ability to effectively communicate status and maintain high visibility critical program schedules.
