Job summary

NGK Ceramics USA, INC. is seeking a DPF Technical Lead for a 4-on/4-off shift (7:30 AM – 7:45 PM). The role concentrates on the technical aspects of the production process, including setup, changeover, problem resolution, and quality review.

Responsibilities include leading changeovers, monitoring production quality, and coordinating with supervisors; ensuring safety and compliance; and supporting engineers in prototype and process development initiatives.

Qualifications

• I. POSITION SUMMARY: Technical leader focusing on production process setup, changeover, problem resolution and quality review.

Responsibilities

• A. Communicates safety discrepancies to Supervisor or Area Manager.
• B. Assists with product changeover and setup of production equipment; verifies safety equipment functionality.
• C. Troubleshoots equipment, devices, or product issues.
• D. Monitors and adjusts production processes for quality and productivity.
• E. Inspects production for quality and adherence to specifications.
• F. Monitors SPC charts and performs quality checks with precision instruments.
• G. Maintains inventory of materials and ensures adequate supplies.
• H. Enters ticket information correctly in computer systems.
• I. Provides production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors.
• J. Writes work orders and updates journals at end of shift.
• K. Follows policies and safety regulations; L. follows procedures to meet schedules.
• M. Recommends improvements to methods, equipment, and quality; N. suggests changes to increase efficiency and safety.
• O. Trains operators as needed; P. Records data and provides training/advice; Q. Operates equipment when needed.
• R. Assists engineers in development or testing of prototypes or new processes; S. Communicates safety to Team Coordinator or Area Manager; T. Inputs maintenance work orders; U. Reviews internal communications; V. Participates in PM, MMOL, 5S and Kaizen activities; W. Follows EMS procedures; X. Job has no supervisory responsibilities.
