Job summary

United Offshore Support GmbH in Leer, Germany, operates a fleet of offshore vessels and seeks a Second Engineer to support the Chief Engineer on DP2 ships. You will assist with engine, hull and auxiliary systems, perform watch-keeping and maintain machinery for reliable operation.

You must hold a Second Engineer Certificate (A-III/2) with at least 1 year DP2 offshore experience, plus a DP Maintainer certificate and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Second Engineer Certificate of Competency (A-III/2).
• Minimum 1 year experience as Second Engineer on Offshore DP2 vessels.
• DP Maintainer Certificate.
• Extensive winch driving experience during AH and towing operations.
• All sea-related certificates up to date.
• Lead in safety and stop-the-job authority.
• Understand and maintain PTW, RA, JSA and toolbox talk system.
• Knowledge of Planned Maintenance Systems.
• Wide experience in MAN / MAK / Bergen engines.
• Familiar with deck cranes (store cranes, anchor handling cranes and winches).
• Familiar with different propulsion systems.
• Able to delegate and supervise engine room duties.
• English language fluency.

Responsibilities

• Help the Chief Engineer with all works to maintain satisfactory technical condition of ship's engine, hull and systems.
• Participate in engine duties, watch-keeping, and maintenance of machinery.
• Control engine room working hours and log hazardous chemicals usage.
• Promote communication and cooperation among crew; ensure safety awareness.
