Job summary

Allseas Group S.A. in offshore operations seeks a Third Engineer ER to safely operate and maintain engine room systems on vessels worldwide.

You report to the Second Engineer ER and Chief Engineer, perform watch-keeping, diagnose faults, carry out maintenance, and have the authority to stop a job when safety or compliance is at risk.

Candidates must hold STCW III/1, basic safety certificates, English at A2 level, and at least 3 years in an engine room, with knowledge of pipelay equipment.

Qualifications

• STCW III/1 – Officer in Charge Engineering Watch is required.
• Mandatory basic safety certificates are required.
• Minimum 3 years general engine room experience.
• Knowledge of pipelay equipment beneficial.
• A2 level in English, verbally and in writing.
• Computer literacy and ability to interpret technical manuals and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent watch keeping duties & maintenance jobs under supervision of Second Engineer
• Execute maintenance and repairs on equipment
• Diagnose faults, implement corrective actions, and document the results
• Remain in engine room or control room during DP operations under special conditions
• Perform duties as indicated on station bill and ship security duties
• Perform accurate duty rounds and equipment inspections in ER spaces
• Actively participate in the handover as per standing orders
• Support operations during pipelay, construction and offshore activities by ensuring engine room reliability
• Authority to stop the job if safety or compliance is at risk
