Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Proper certification required.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program required.

• Ability to read engineering drawing.

• Ability to follow instructions and meet set standards.
• Judge distances and slopes accurately.
• Physical ability to stoop, bend, and crouch.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operates tractor equipped with a concave blade for gouging out, leveling, and distributing earth.
• Pushes trees and rocks from land preparatory to construction.
• Fastens attachments to tractor with clevis or wedge-pin hitches.
• Connects hydraulic hoses to provide power for controlling the attachment.
• Drives bulldozer in successive passes over terrain to specified grade.
• May grease, oil, and repair tractor.
