Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH Company, is seeking two experienced Dozer Operators to join our construction team in Houston. The Dozer Operator is responsible for safely operating bulldozers and related heavy equipment to perform site preparation, grading, earthmoving, roadway construction, and land development activities.

The successful candidate will support project operations by maintaining proper grades, ensuring quality workmanship, and adhering to all safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating a dozer on construction, earthwork, road building, site development, or heavy civil projects preferred.
• Experience performing finish grading and working from survey stakes or GPS machine control systems is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate bulldozers safely and efficiently in support of earthwork, grading, site development, roadway construction, and other heavy civil projects.
• Perform rough and finish grading according to project plans, specifications, and grade stakes.
• Push, spread, level, and move soil, aggregate, and other construction materials.
• Read and interpret construction plans, grade stakes, and directions from supervisors.
• Work closely with equipment operators, laborers, foremen, and project management to meet production goals.
• Identify and avoid underground utilities, overhead hazards, and other potential job site risks.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and complete required inspection reports.
• Monitor equipment performance and promptly report mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
