Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant field experience.
• Able to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate various vehicles and heavy equipment to maintain and repair roads and rights-of-way on varied surfaces.
• Load, haul, and smooth gravel, dirt, and sand; grade roads and spread materials.
• Trench and construct ditches for culverts and pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Check fluid levels and lubrication; maintain equipment.
• Instruct and train others in safe operation of equipment and techniques.
• Inspect equipment and materials to identify defects and issues.
