Sanford Contractors, Inc. is seeking a dependable Bulldozer Operator with 1+ years of experience to join our team in Sanford, NC.

You will safely operate CAT D5–D8 bulldozers for site preparation, grading, and earthmoving while maintaining productivity and safety standards. You will use grade stakes and GPS guidance, perform pre-shift inspections, report issues, and support site safety by attending planning huddles, identifying hazards, protecting utilities, and mentoring junior crew members.

Qualifications

• 1+ years bulldozer operating experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong English communication skills
• Knowledge of OSHA standards
• Willingness to work overtime

Responsibilities

Bulldozer Operator – Site Prep & Grading

Sanford Contractors is seeking a dependable, experienced Bulldozer Operator (1+ years experience; high school diploma or equivalent required) to join our team. In this role, you will safely operate CAT D5–D8 bulldozers for fine grading, earthmoving, and site preparation while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities include utilizing grade stakes, GPS guidance, and supervisor directives to achieve required grades; performing daily pre-shift equipment inspections; maintaining clean equipment; and reporting maintenance issues promptly. Operators actively support site safety by attending daily planning huddles, identifying hazards, protecting existing utilities, mentoring junior crew members, and restoring completed work areas. Candidates must possess strong English communication skills, working knowledge of OSHA standards, sharp attention to detail, and a flexible, professional work ethic. OSHA training is preferred, and candidates must be willing to work overtime as needed.
