Ohio Support Services seeks a Safety Ambassador to protect downtown Columbus and assist visitors and residents. The role blends security duties with hospitality and outreach, requiring strong observation and communication skills, and a commitment to helping people in need.

You will perform outdoor patrols, interact with a diverse population, and coordinate with local police and social services as needed. This position emphasizes safety, integrity, and community service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, walk, or ride for extended periods.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle, bike and foot patrols of public areas.
• Operate John Deere Gator or similar vehicles.
• Assist visitors with directions, information, and amenities.
• Emergency response when needed.
• Participate in beautification and public space projects.
• Assist with snow removal duties.
• Engage with people requiring social services and connections.
• Lift up to 35 lbs as required.
