Central Houston, Inc. is seeking a Public Safety Manager for Downtown Houston to oversee daily public safety operations, coordinate contracted security providers, ambassadors, outreach partners, and law enforcement agencies.

Reporting to the Deputy Director, this role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, plus the ability to respond to emergencies and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in public safety or related field.
• Experience coordinating field operations, contractors, or public safety programs preferred.
• Knowledge of public safety operations and emergency response procedures.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with contractors, law enforcement, businesses and community partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with GIS, incident management, or data systems preferred.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate contracted security, outreach, and public safety providers to meet contract requirements and standards.
• Monitor contractor performance and advise on improvements through field inspections.
• Review reports, incident logs, and invoices for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate daily safety resource deployments and events, including after-hours needs.
• Prepare daily operational briefs and communicate incidents and trends to leadership.
• Assist with emergency response coordination with agencies and partners.
