Job summary

The City of Frederick is seeking a Parking Enforcement Monitor responsible for patrolling downtown areas to enforce parking regulations and issue citations. The role involves interacting with the public, reporting meter malfunctions, and maintaining documentation for court hearings.

A valid driver’s license and ability to work with minimal supervision are required. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 months of related experience or training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vehicle Operator’s license with insurability required.
• Three (3) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to work with the public and communicate in English.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned area on foot to enforce parking regulations.
• Identifies violations and issues citations using handheld ticket computer.
• Reports missing or damaged signs, meters, and traffic issues.
• Provides information about regulations and locations to the public.
• Represents information and documentation for court hearings.
• Wears and maintains the City-provided uniform.
• Operates a vehicle with safe driving practices as needed.
