Job summary

Aloft Tampa Downtown, operated by HEI Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Front Desk Guest Services Agent in Tampa, FL. You will warmly welcome guests, handle registrations, process payments, and help guests with inquiries to ensure a memorable stay.

Responsibilities include phone handling, resolving issues, and supporting smooth hotel operations while maintaining a courteous, professional demeanor at all times.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Strong calculator skills for moderately complex calculations.
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers with patience and diplomacy.
• Ability to input and retrieve information using a moderately complex computer system.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide accurate information on hours and local attractions.
• Complete check‑in/out, select rooms, code keys, and prepare welcome materials.
• Verify and imprint credit cards, handle payments, and balance the house bank.
• Answer phones, relay messages, and retrieve mail and packages for guests.
• Close guest accounts at checkout and address dissatisfaction with possible resolutions.
• Field guest complaints and research solutions to resolve issues.
• Remain calm during emergencies and heavy activity; follow procedures.
• Adhere to attendance requirements and perform additional duties as assigned.
