Job summary

Downtown Dallas, Inc. seeks a Downtown Ambassador to engage visitors and residents, guiding them to the best restaurants, retail, and entertainment in Downtown Dallas. You will promote area attractions, promote events, and help keep the area clean and welcoming.

You'll report to the Director of Events and Programming and work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, wearing a uniform and delivering world-class customer service while supporting field operations and marketing teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with at least 2 years in customer service.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Professional appearance and ability to engage the public.

Responsibilities

• Share knowledge of Downtown history, art, restaurants, and attractions with the public.
• Proactively engage visitors to provide directions and information.
• Build relationships with people including those experiencing homelessness and connect to services.
• Keep Downtown Dallas clean by assisting with litter removal.
• Act as the eyes and ears for city events and report issues.
• Support activation events and collaborate with local businesses as needed.
