Job summary

The Downtown San Diego Partnership is seeking a Clean Ambassador to perform cleaning services across Downtown San Diego neighborhoods. You will work under the Shift Supervisor and Operations Manager, helping maintain sidewalks, parks, and public spaces with pride and safety in mind.

You’ll be responsible for litter removal, graffiti/ sticker removal, basic maintenance, and coordinating with residents and business owners.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cleaning experience or equivalent.
• Hospitality experience is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Outstanding customer service skills, in person and electronically.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English; bilingual/multilingual preferred.
• Valid Driver's License (required for most roles).

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of public spaces, sidewalks, curbs, and parks by removing litter and servicing trash receptacles.
• Sweep and mop sidewalks and curbs; remove human/animal waste.
• Remove graffiti and stickers from public property.
• Clean, paint, deodorize, and maintain street furniture and fixtures.
• Lift and dispose of heavy trash bags up to 50 lbs.
• Respond to cleaning needs and safety hazards in a timely manner.
• Perform basic landscape maintenance and weed removal.
• Represent the program professionally to residents, businesses, and visitors.
