DouroDouro in Portland, Maine, part of the Prentice Hospitality Group, seeks a dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare and plate dishes, maintain station cleanliness, and collaborate with the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

The ideal candidate has line cook experience, strong knife skills, and a passion for hospitality, food, and continuous learning. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required; a fast-paced environment awaits you.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred (fine dining experience a plus).
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of cooking techniques.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and standards.
• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before service.
• Maintain food quality, taste, and presentation to Evo’s standards.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace per health regulations.
• Assist with prep work, inventory, and daily cleaning duties; collaborate with kitchen team.
