Job summary

Malama Health is seeking Community-Based Doulas in Tennessee to serve as Doula Navigators, bridging providers and patients with compassionate care coordination. You’ll conduct outreach, assessments, and help with appointments, using tools like Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, and Zoom.

Requirements include being a certified birth doula (or willing to complete Malama training), bilingual in English/Spanish, and a passion for closing equity gaps in maternal health.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified birth doula or commit to Malama-sponsored training.
• Lactation certification strongly preferred.
• Fluent in English and bilingual in Spanish.
• Located in Tennessee.
• Reliable and responsive to text and calls; keen to learn new technology.
• Be the Bridge and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care management to meet patient needs via phone, SMS, video calls, or in-person encounters.
• Coordinate care services and referrals with health plans and care teams to drive services to completion.
• Communicate to empower patient learning using motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care.
• Use care management portals to document, track, and improve services and meet caseload targets.
