Job summary

Malama Health is seeking Community-Based Doulas in Tennessee to serve our members as Doula Navigators, bridging providers and patients with compassionate care and coordinated services.

You will support moms, document outcomes, and learn our care protocols while ensuring equity and access. This role offers flexible hours, growth opportunities, and a pathway to Malama’s sponsored doula training.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified birth doula prior to employment, or commit to Malama-sponsored doula training.
• Lactation certification (CLC/CLE or equivalent) is strongly preferred; IBCLC not required.
• Reliable and responsive to texts and calls; comfortable with Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, Zoom.
• Be a bridge: a people-person, team player, and mission-driven.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Care Management to meet patient needs via outreach, assessments, and coordination.
• Coordinate care services and referrals to completion with health plans and care teams.
• Communicate to empower patient learning using motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care.
• Utilize technology to document, track, and improve services; manage caseload targets.
