Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking a training professional in Portland, OR to lead new hire classrooms, refresher and on-the-job driver trainings, and evaluations. This role requires knowledge of DOT guidelines, strong communication, and ability to manage HR-related tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants must hold a valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement where needed, a DOT Medical Card, and be willing to maintain a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to maintain employee relations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with human resources is preferred
• Knowledge of all DOT Federal rules and regulations
• Must hold a valid CDL (A/B/C) with Passenger Endorsement where required by location and a DOT Medical Card

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct new hire classroom training
• Schedule and conduct refresher training
• Schedule and conduct on the job driver training
• Schedule and conduct driver evaluations
• Complete new hire paperwork as necessary
• Perform other DOT, HR, and Training tasks as assigned
