Job summary

Trancasa USA, Inc. is seeking a DOT Safety Manager to oversee driver hours of service, trailer registrations, and DOT inspections, while delivering safety training across locations. The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a proactive safety mindset.

You will manage accident investigations, promote a safety culture, and provide monthly safety scorecards and reports, ensuring accountability for preventable incidents. Travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of transportation safety, fleet management, or regulatory compliance.
• Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations, hours-of-service requirements, ELDs, vehicle inspections, accident investigations, and safety compliance procedures.
• Experienced in developing, coaching, and mentoring others, providing growth opportunities, guidance, and training to ensure job readiness and success.

Responsibilities

• Oversee drivers' hours of service (HOS) compliance.
• Supervise trailer registrations and DOT inspections.
• Provide safety training on ELDs and hours-of-service procedures.
• Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly safety reports and scorecards incorporating safety metrics.
